Swingshift Big Band, Southport Melodic Jazz Club's resident big band which has played with many of the jazz world's top soloists, last appeared at The Civic to a packed house on 6 November backing rising vocal star A J Brown.
Leader Phil Shotton brings the band back with Mainstreet, a unique vocal quartet with what he describes as 'fantastic' arrangements to some classic songs drawn from the repertoires of famous vocal groups such as The Four Freshmen, The Hi-Los, The Pied Pipers, The Polks Dots, The Melltones, New York Voices and The Manhattan Transfer.
